An exhibiton at our department

On February

The Department of Foreign Languages of SPPU with the collaboration of the Spanish Embassy and the Cervantes Institute in Delhi have the opportunity to bring to Pune the exhibition of the Spanish poet Gloria Fuertes (Madrid, 1917-1998) on the occasion of the centenary of her birth. This unknown writer in India is a main representative of Spanish post-war poetry: a pacifist, a feminist, and an engaged social poet. Considered also the poet of children, she democratized and brought poetry into all Spanish homes through television and story telling.

The exhibition is composed of 9 biographical posters representing a chronological journey through her life and work, including 45 photographs from her personal albums kept in the Archive of the Gloria Fuertes Foundation and 18 autobiographical poems.
